As part of your poetry anthology, you must ask an adult to tell you the name of their favorite poem. This should be a published, well-known poem.
1. Print the poem to bring to class.
2. Hand write or type a 5-sentence paragraph that explains why they like the poem. What you (with their help) understand the poem to mean. And list three poetic techniques used in the poem (simile, alliteration, repetition, etc.). For each technique you list you must include the quoted line or phrase that shows the technique.
For example: The poem uses alliteration in the line "Red roses, grow and rise to the sun." The poem also includes imagery like "the one-eyed, wooden rocking horse". Finally, the poem uses repetition in the line "Many, many moons set and many, many suns rose."
